Entertainment Back Order Policy:
When you shop at HotDishes, our intent is to bring you everything you've ordered as quickly as possible. There are times, however, when, due to unforeseen circumstances, an item may be temporarily Out of Stock.

Back Order
When this happens, your order will be processed as usual, with your credit or bankcard charged for the full amount of your order. You will then immediately be sent all items you've ordered that are in stock at that time. All remaining items you've ordered which are Out of Stock are placed for you on Back Order.

Once the back order is ready to be shipped, HotDishes will send this by regular USPS mail even in the event of a customer having chosen any other shipping method, since the first shipment will be sent as per the customer's chosen method of shipping. For.e.g. if a customer had chosen UPS 2 day shipping method for his original order, all the available merchandise will be sent by UPS 2 day and any unavailable merchandise will be sent within 15-20 business days by regular USPS mail. Please note that orders are charged only once which is at the time of placing an order. We do not charge again when the back order is being sent. Items not being shipped due to unavailability or any other reason, they have already been billed and no additional charge will be made again.

15 to 20 days
We will then make every effort to acquire those items for you and send them out via USPS (at no additional cost to you) to fulfill your order within 15 to 20 days. If we are unable to do so, you credit or bankcard will be issued an immediate credit for the amount of your order we were unable to fulfill.

Order Status
We will always tell you as soon as your order is processed if anything is being placed on Back Order. You will be sent an email from our Customer Service team informing you of these actions each step of the way, so you will always know your order's status. You will never need to contact Customer Service; they will always keep you informed.

No additional cost
We have adopted this policy to better serve you, our customers, as we want to make your order process as easy as possible as well as bring you every item you've ordered in a reasonable amount of time at no additional cost. Please note: All normal State and Federal taxes, duties, and tariffs apply to shipment of Back Ordered items and are the responsibility of the consumer.

FASHION
Following policy will hold good for Fashion Section:
  • We offer free shipping on all fashion items from the above link for orders above $50..

  • For orders below $50, there will be a shipping charge of approximately US$14, which is determined by the weight of the parcel.

  • The regular processing time for any order under this category is 15 business days and 5-7 business days of transit time. An order consisting of multiple items of multiple categories will be processed as per the applicable processing time for each category.

  • We have a no questions asked return policy applicable on all Fashion items.

  • We have adopted this policy to better serve you, our customers, as we want to make your order process as easy as possible as well as bring you every item you've ordered in a reasonable amount of time at no additional cost
Please note: All normal State and Federal taxes, duties, and tariffs apply to shipment of Back Ordered items and are the responsibility of the consumer.

GROCERY
There would be a shipping charge on actuals for each grocery order. The orders are shipped out by UPS Ground

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Though we ship most our products internationally, HotDishes has instituted a policy for the security and safety of all our international customers. In order to verify the billing information, including address, payment method, etc., all international customers must fax us a copy of the front and back of their credit card, as well as a copy of their credit card statement. This should clearly show their billing address, which should match the address their items are being shipped to. HotDishes will keep this information on file for our customers' protection, so that no items can be billed to the customer's card without their knowledge. Please direct all faxes to 408-239-4800.

Though we ship most our products internationally, not all products are available in all countries, and shipping rates to those countries will vary. Please check the final receipt to verify your shipping charges before you approve your order. International customers are responsible for any customs or duty fees levied by their country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict where they will occur, as policies vary greatly from nation to nation. If any packages are returned back to HotDishes due to insufficient or wrong address or unclaimed, customers are subject to pay a 25% restocking fee on the merchandise. In the event of a reshipment of the same order, customers will be responsible to pay shipping charges for the reshipment.

Customers originating from Reunion, Mauritius & Canada may be subject to pay extra shipping charges in addition to the charges you may agree to pay while finalizing the order, depending upon the shipping schedules of UPS Worldwide Express. Some locations in Canada may be subject to a minimum of $20 surcharge if shipping method chosen is UPS Worldwide Express.

KITCHEN & APPLIANCES:
For appliances if found defective, please contact customer service at HotDishes and instructions on how to return the same will be given. Once the defective goods are received back, a replacement will be sent immediately.

MAGAZINES
We are pleased to offer fine Indian magazines to our customers at very competitive rates. Please note, however, that for all magazine or newspaper orders, once processed, subscriptions cannot be refunded or canceled under any circumstances. There are absolutely no conditions under which a refund or cancellation will be granted. Address changes within the USA may still be made at any time, however. Details regarding the change of address, should be sent to service@hotdishes.com

OTHER INFORMATION
We are proud to offer such shipping values to our customers, especially when paired with our fast delivery times. In most cases, your order will be processed within 48 hours of your placing it. You can expect to receive your order, on average, within 7 -15 business days of processing the order. Shipping times may vary depending on delivery address, delays in payment collection, or product unavailability. Often, products will be shipped separately from one another for added safety in transit, so you may receive more than one delivery to your address. Please remember that large items, such as appliances, may take additional time and incur additional handling charges to ensure their safe delivery. We care that you receive your items in exceptional condition.

Please note that all items from each different department on our site are sent separately. For instance if you order from Fashion and Appliances section, these items will be shipped separately from each section. The sole exception to this is that all Entertainment items ARE sent together. In other words, your DVDs and Audio CDs from the same order will be sent in one shipment. Tracking numbers for orders shipped via UPS take 24 business hours to become active and for orders shipped via regular mail tracking numbers become active between 3-4 business days.

Please note that the packages sent by USPS regular mail takes anywhere between 7-15 business days to deliver. Though USPS priority promises delivery within 2 business days, there are times it might take more than 15-20 business days to deliver. In these cases, customers are informed to wait for 1 month from the date of shipment as there are chances that the packages might get delivered within this period. In case the packages do not reach even after 1 month of processing, customers are requested to send in an email to service@hotdishes.com informing the non-receipt of the parcels. This will enable HotDishes to pursue this with it's third party insurance company. Once the claim is accepted by the insurance company, HotDishes will immediately reprocess the shipments.

Reminder
UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes, always provide a street address for delivery.

We are obligated by law to charge Texas residents 8.25% sales tax on most items, and Georgia residents 7% sales tax on Ultra products only.

Please note: The United States Postal Service and UPS each charge a penalty for incorrect shipping addresses, wherein the address and zip code do not match. The customer will, without exception, bear the cost of any such penalties and/or fees, not HotDishes.Please make sure your shipping address is correct.

Credit Issuals
All credits to be posted to a customer's credit card account takes about 3 business days to be processed by HotDishes. The corresponding bank of the customers may take about 2 business days to actually post these to the customer's accounts from the date HotDishes has processed the credits. Customers can check these credits in their next credit card statement.

Order Cancellation
As mentioned in the shipping time, HotDishes will hold the order to be processed if there is a lack of merchandise or otherwise. If customers wish to cancel an order, they are required to intimate HotDishes either by email to service@hotdishes.com or by speaking to a live customer support representative. Please note voicemails cannot be accepted for order cancellations. In the event of not following these instructions by the customers, and if packages are returned back to HotDishes due to this reason, please note that there will be a restocking fee of 25% and also the actual shipping charges incurred by HotDishes to ship these will also be recovered from the customer's credit card account. Hence kindly ensure to have a written record of a cancellation request or the live customer representative's name with whom the cancellation request was made.

PHONE CARDS
We take pride in sending you your instant pin via email. For any Phone Cards questions, please refer to our FAQ page. All phonecard customers qualified to receive instant pins will receive their activation numbers via email within 24 hours!

Once card has been issued, no refunds can be given. Partial refunds are also not possible for unused portions of cards. If you experience a problem with the service of the Pre-paid calling card you have purchased, please call the customer service number sent along with your PIN via email.

Our rates are good 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, however the carrier without prior notice may change these rates. HotDishes makes every attempt to reflect the most current rates on our site, but carriers may not always make this possible.

SHIPPING GIFTS TO INDIA
We take great pride in being able to offer FREE SHIPPING to our customers with family and friends back home. To ensure the quickest confirmed delivery on all orders to India, please be sure to include the COMPLETE postal address with the correct PIN CODE. We cannot be responsible for postal delays resulting from incomplete address listings.

Also be aware that all shipments to any Girls College/School/Hostel are placed at the customer's risk. If the school's warden does not accept your package or it is refused for any reason, HotDishes will under no circumstances issue a refund or credit to the customer's account, nor shall HotDishes attempt re-shipment of the same order. For a special or preferred delivery date, the sender must mention the delivery date in the gift message box when placing their order. If the order does not contain any delivery date, then it will be delivered at the first opportunity, as soon as possible.

TERMS for CUSTOMIZED GIFT CERTIFICATES TO INDIA

We do not EXCHANGE gift certificates after shipping.

We do not CHANGE or CANCEL AN ORDER after shipping.

We do not replace LOST or STOLEN gift certificates once received by the recipient.

We do not guarantee MERCHANDISE purchased with the gift certificates.

Gift certificate(s) will not be accepted by store(s) at the time of sale/special offer.

Simple Return Policy
We're dedicated at HotDishes in offering you the best quality in our products and our service. We know that mistakes are sometimes made though, and we are here to help remedy those problems.

Notwithstanding the above, or any other provision, we are under no obligation to accept any returns or provide any replacements. We have sole discretion in deciding whether or not to accept returns.

If you have received a damaged item or if the item you received was not the item you ordered or if it was misrepresented on our site, please contact us by email within 15 days of your receipt of the product. It is important that you save all packing materials as well as the item itself. When you reach us, we'll give you instructions on how to proceed so that we may replace the item as quickly as possible. It's very important that you DO NOT send the item back to us until you have spoken with one of our representatives; merchandise without a RETURN FORM will not be accepted, and no credit or replacement shall be given on such items.

In the case of flaws to an item such as a large DVD Collection, which cannot be entirely viewed within the specified 15-day window, some flexibility may be given solely at HotDishes's discretion.

All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, except in the case of errors on our site or in our shipping. In many cases, we shall refund the customer their first class mail shipping cost on an item correctly returned to us. However, that refunded shipping cost will always be ONLY for the cost of USPS first class mail shipping, regardless of whether it was sent some other way by the customer.

Please be sure that all returns from a given order are done at one time. Only one Return Form will EVER be sent OR accepted for any one order, so please ensure that all returns from that order are reported at once. Any additional Return Forms received from a single order shall not be accepted and may constitute fraud.

If any packages are returned back to HotDishes due to insufficient or wrong address or unclaimed or refused delivery, customers are subject to pay a 25% restocking fee on the merchandise plus the actual shipping charges incurred by HotDishes to send the shipment. In the event of a reshipment of the same order, customers will be responsible to pay shipping charges for the reshipment.
Grocery, Sweets & Perishable Items
In case of receipt of perished/damaged food items, please contact us by email within 24 hours of your receipt of the product. It is important that you save all packing materials as well as the item itself. We may or may not, request you to send the package back to us for further inspection.

Here are some helpful guidelines on Returns
  • Always email us first if you have a problem.

  • Always be sure to report your problem within 15 days or receiving the item in question except for sweets and perishable items which is 24 hours of receipt of product.

  • Never send a returned item without a duly filled Return Form.

  • Always report any and all problems associated with a single order at the same time.

  • Always return your item(s) using ONLY USPS first class postage.

  • Be as specific as possible when describing the problem, especially in the case of DVDs (including defective chapter name), as all returned items are examined for defects. Non-defective DVDs shall be returned to the customer and no shipping charges shall be refunded to them.

  • Once a Phone Card has been issued, no refunds can be given. Partial refunds are also not possible for unused portions of cards.

  • Any costs above the USPS shipping cost of $1.26 are the responsibility of the customer.
