Chettinadu style prawns Ingredients:
Prawns - 100 gms
Onion - 1 thin sliced
Tomato - 1/2
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves and curries leaves
Mustard seed - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
To grind:
Coconut - 1 1/2 cup
Red chilies - 10
Sombu (Big jeera) - 2 tsp
Grind the above well with 1/4 cup of water
Chettinadu style prawns Preparation:
Heat 6 tsp of oil in a pan , add 1 tsp of mustard seeds along with curry leaves. Then add the onions after the mustard seeds splatter, let the oil to fry for about 2- 4 minutes until they are golden brown. Then add the tomatoes and the ground coconut paste. Let the paste cook for about 10 minutes in simmer, add 1 tsp of turmeric powder and salt to taste. Wait till the oil separates out of the ground masala. Then add the prwans wait until 5 - 6 minutes until the prawns are cooked, do not cook
Them for a long time. Remove from the stove and add coriander leaves.
