Idli with tomato chutney


South indian Tomato Chutney Recipe

Ingredients :

Coconut oil - 1tsp
Sesame oil - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

sesame seeds - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Sugar -1/4 tsp
Asafeotida - a pinch
Cumin - a pinch
Black jeera -1 tsp
Red chillies - 4 ( upon taste)
Fennel seeds - a pinch
Sambar powder - 1tsp
Onion - 1/2 finely chopped
Tomatoes - Ground not fine - 2 medium size
Coriander leaves - 2
Curry leaves
Garlic crushed - 2 cloves

Preparation :

1. Take a medium size sauce pan.
2. Heat the oils in a pan - And add mustard seeds let them splatter. Then add jeera - Fennel seeds - curry powders - red chillies - Whole crushed black pepper with asafoetida
3. Saute the onions until translucent - Add salt to the onions, now add the sambar powder
4. Once the oil separates - add the crushed tomatoes
5. Let it come to aboil - and add finely chopped coriander leaves.
